Stuart Yahm helps people create memorable events. As a minister of the Universal Life Church, he works with couples to help them create the kind of wedding they want. In his long career in the music industry, he provided a similar service for some of the worlds most popular musicians, setting a positive, calming, and creative atmosphere for hundreds of successful recordings. He is a minister that respects the universal nature of spirituality in all of its forms and he invites you to participate in choosing the wedding ceremony that you will remember forever.
In 1972, Stuart became Director of Artist Relations and eventually General Manager of A&R for Capitol Records where he worked with such artists as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller, Grand Funk Railroad, Peggy Lee, Glen Campbell, Helen Reddy, Merle Haggard and The Righteous Bros., among many others. He eventually left the corporate record world to work as a personal manager, negotiation consultant and a source of advice and insight for numerous artists and other personal managers.
In 1998, Stuart was introduced to the profession of mediation where he realized that its use of collaborative negotiation was very similar to his innate style of working with people. Fascinated with the process, he immersed himself in the field of conflict resolution. For many years he volunteered his mediation services to the Los Angeles Small Claims Court to help people reduce their hostility and resolve their conflicts in an amiable way. Today, in addition to his work with families as a certified mediator, he is a non-denominational minister performing personalized weddings and pre-marital counseling for couples in the state of Georgia.
Preparing for a wedding can be a stressful process which often surfaces a family's most challenging issues. In preparing for a wedding, Stuart's first priority is to support the couple's desire to create the kind of wedding event that they want and to allow them to express their love and commitment in their own way. Usually this only involves creating and delivering the service the couple want to hear. When family and personal issues threaten the harmony of the event, Stuart will provide coaching and mediation services which serve to greatly calm the stress and tension that accompanies many wedding ceremonies. |
